| Outside The garden has a large 8m X 3m terrace next to the circular pool for sun-worshippers. An iron Moroccan style table seating 8 with iron chairs, BBQ, hammock, wooden-slatted deckchairs, optional parking in garden, but there is room to park just before you get into the hamlet should you have a very large car. |

The
area The Hamlet of La Gadhille is set above St. Paul Le Jeune in the Cevennes quarter of SW Ardeche. The commune has a restored Roman lavoir supplied by a natural source, where you can enjoy peace and tranquillity. There are many walks linking the hamlet with Frigolet, Banne and Courry etc. Some via the viaduct. Les Vans, 10 mins by car, with Berrias, Brahic, Naves, Thines, Uzes, Joyeuse, Rhuoms all nearby. The village of St Paul Le Jeune has weekly markets, a bank, post office, pharmacy, doctor, osteopath, corner shops, 4 bakers, 3 butchers, newsagent, souvenir shop, wine warehouse, restaurant and bars, church and Tennis Courts etc. The Town hall hosts exhibitions and has details of local events and routes to walk or cycle. There is a beach 10 mins away by car with canoe hire and climbing in the gorge du Chassezac which runs into the gorge de l'Ardeche 40 mins. Grotte de Colcaliere is on your doorstep. Banne has the ruins of a castle and views over the Paiolivier Wood and Chassezac to the Ardeche gorge in the distance. The stables are still intact and houses art festivals and music recitals. Lockerby Pub/Restaurant, in the square by the fountain, has 60 different beers! |
| Getting There - Follow the A26/E17 to REIMS, TROYES. A5 and A31 to DIJON. A6 to LYON. A7 to VALENCE. Cross the River Rhone and follow Dir D104 PRIVAS, AUBENAS, LES VANS. Before St. Ambroix you’ll go through St PAUL LE JEUNE. If you intend coming by TGV to Vallence, or flying to Nimes airport, you can either hire a car or I can transfer you from the Station for 150 euros rtn or airport for 100 euros rtn.
